Workshop

2 day - Introduction to Adobe After Effects

Adobe After Effects is the software of choice for creating professional quality motion graphics and special effects for video. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce users to the powerful capabilities of this program and how it can be integrated into your projects. Through a series of practical tutorials, this hands on introduction will have students complete a few basic projects in order to gain an understanding of this flexible design tool. Some of the most frequently asked questions and requested operations in After Effects will be answered and addressed. Projects will be divided evenly between motion graphics and compositing. Students should leave the class with a base knowledge of visual effects workflow and how to make a motion graphic.

Instructor:
Tasha Waldron has always had a passion for writing. She went on to develop skills in this area by studying Scriptwriting at Algonquin College. She continues to produce her own short films, documentaries and more recently, music videos. Tasha is currently the Membership Coordinator at the Independent Filmmakers' Cooperative of Ottawa. She's an indie artist who enjoys creating moving images in the best of both worlds -- film and video.
