Sony PMW-EX1 HD Camera Clinic

SAW Video has made the exciting move to tapeless HD with the purchase of a Sony PMW-EX1 HD camera! The EX1 is a broadcast quality camera with three ½-inch CMOS sensors, each with an effective pixel count of 1920x1080 to produce images in full HD resolution.

The EX1 is loaded with great features including multiple frame rate recording capability such as 59.94i, 50i, and native 23.98P, as well as being 1080i/720P switchable. There is also a choice of a 35Mb/s High Quality mode or a 25Mb/s, HDV 1080i compatible mode. The EX1 is completely tapeless and records onto memory-based SxS cards.

This 3 hour clinic will cover basic operation of the camera and it's various modes and functions, and will largely focus on tapeless workflow.

Successful completion of a SAW Video EX1 clinic is mandatory in order to rent the EX1, so this workshop is a must for anyone planning on using this camera.

This workshop is being delivered at the intermediate-advanced level. Successful completion of SAW Video's Intro to Video Production workshop or demonstrated knowledge and experience with SD video production is a required pre-requisite.
