TeleFilm
Telefilm Canada is a federal cultural
agency dedicated primarily to the development and promotion of the
Canadian film, television, new media and music industries. Telefilm Canada
reports to the Department of Canadian Heritage. The Corporation provides
financial assistance and strategic leverage to the industry in producing
high-quality works -
e.g. feature films, drama series, documentaries, children's shows,
variety/performing arts programs, and new media products - that reflect
Canadian society, including its linguistic duality and cultural diversity.
NFB
The National
Film Board of Canada (NFB) is a public agency that produces and
distributes films and other audiovisual works that reflect Canada to
Canadians. The National Film Board of Canada makes and distributes
animation films and documentaries in both English and French. You can
order videos directly from the NFB, or borrow them through a wide
distribution network.
THE INDEPENDENT MEDIA ARTS ALLIANCE
is a national association of independent film, video and new media
producers, distributors and exhibitors from all parts of Canada. The
Alliance works to promote the improvement of means and access for
independents at every stage of funding, production, distribution and
exhibition, and is comprised of 80 artist-run organisations, representing
more than 10,000 media artists and cultural workers across Canada. Independent
Filmmakers Co-operative of Ottawa
IFCO is the only centre in eastern Ontario whose mandate is to promote the
expression of ideas, values and experience through the medium of film, as
well as to establish a permanent and vibrant filmmaking community in the
Ottawa region. IFCO fulfills its mandate through offering training
courses, production and post-production equipment, various services, and

The National
Screen Institute
The National Screen Institute - Canada is the oldest national Canadian
training school for writers, producers and directors working in film and
television. It is one of four federally recognized and supported National
Training Schools for professional development in film and television.
