Evening
1 Monday, February 13th 2006 6:00pm-9:00pm $65 Members/$90 non-members (Saw Video basic membership included in price) This two evening clinic will serve as an introduction to SAW Video’s newest addition to our video camera arsenal – the Sony HDR-Z1U. The Z1U is Sony’s first professional grade video camera in the relatively young HDV High Definition video format. It records a compressed High Definition video image on regular MiniDV tapes at a resolution of 1080i. It can also be configured to record in Standard Definition DV. The workshop will cover basic operation of the camera, recording in Standard and HDV modes, attaching external microphones and controlling audio levels, and a brief look at some of the HDR-Z1U’s special camera modes and alternate frame rates. Previous experience with MiniDV video cameras or SAW Video’s other production equipment is encouraged, but not necessary to take this clinic. The workshop is given in English but some exchanges can be made in French. WORKSHOP
LIMITED TO 6 PARTICIPANTS -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "L'utilisation

NEW OTTAWA ARTS AND MUSIC FORUM | ||
| New Ottawa Arts and Music Forum A new forum has been created for cross promotion between Ottawa's arts and music/club scenes. While there already exist seperate web resources for Ottawa night life and arts / crafts happenings, we aim to bring it together on one site for those interested in what all of Ottawa's underground has to offer! A forum is only as good as the community that shares it, so you're encouraged to post your event listings, discuss arts and music, share links, whathaveyou . . . You're invited to help shape this evolving forum with your contributions and suggestions, in hopes of creating a pertinent promotional and social site! Cheers, Andrew
