SAW VIDEO NEWS:

DIRECTOR'S NOTES

2006 is SAW Video's 25th anniversary and, to celebrate, there'll be more opportunities than ever to make videos. In this email bulletin, we're pleased to announce a new production fund. The New Voices Fund is a program designed to give young artists from 16 - 24 the opportunity to work on a short independent production. It's the same level of grant as Jumpstart, but targeted to a specific age group. The deadline is March 31st. Many thanks to the Laidlaw Foundation for their support of New Voices.

Coming up next week will be an announcement for a new themed commissioning project we're undertaking with Modern Fuel Artist-run Centre in Kingston. Stay tuned for more details on that.

And, of course, there's our regular production fund. The deadlines for 2006 are listed below. (Please note that there will be just one Jumpstart deadline this year, in September.) So prepare your ideas for new projects and send us your submissions!
