Club SAW, 67 Nicholas Street, Ottawa
This open screening is a chance for anyone to bring in a copy of their latest video and have it projected on the big screen for all to see. No submission process, no fees, just fun! Come show your work, meet people, see other recent local video productions and network in the intimate and friendly setting of Club SAW.
Videos must be 20 minutes or less in length and must be brought in on either an encoded DVD/Blu-Ray disc or as an H.264 Quicktime file on a USB stick. Videos will be screened on a first-come, first-serve basis and there will be a limit of one video per person. Works produced before 2012 are not eligible. You do not need to be a SAW Video member to participate.
SAW Video values diversity and actively promotes equity for all artists regardless of race, age, class, gender, sexual orientation, language, or ability. We welcome participation from people who belong to marginalised and under-represented groups, including Indigenous peoples, members of the LGBTQ community, and new Canadians.
Free Spin is part of VideoCity at SAW Video. In 2014, SAW Video will devote its entire programming year to celebrating media artists from the Ottawa-Gatineau region, past and present.
